About Us
I
am a life long resident of eastern Washington, where I grew up
on a large wheat ranch. My career began as a CPA focused on the
timber industry. Then, I worked for a large building materials
distributor, who also owned a door shop, kitchen and countertop
shop and two retail home improvement centers, as CFO. Going to
work for Tree Top brought me to wine country over 25 years ago.
With Tree Top I had the opportunity to travel the States and much
of the world as their VP of Business Development and Planning.
My last corporate position was with a large private label cannery
which produced applesauce, pears, and cherries, where I was responsible
for finance, information systems, and insurance.
I live just north of Selah, on three acres, with a small orchard,
duck pond, huge willows and 4 to 5,000 daffodils. I am married
with three grown children and six grandkids and two dogs –
Maggie May and Gracie Allen. As an active community volunteer,
I have enjoyed serving as director of the Yakima
Greenway Foundation for over 20 years and co-founder and co-chair
of Case
of the Blues for the first seven years. I co-founded and served
as Director of ClubSelah, a girl’s volleyball club, whose
high school team won their third straight state championship in
2008. I play tennis and enjoy salmon and steelhead fishing.
Let me apologize for the long domain name, but when I started
looking for a name, anything starting with Wine Country came up
with sites in Napa and Sonoma counties. So I chose a name which
focused on Washington State. Hopefully the site will be useful
and you will bookmark or mark it as a “favorite” and
return often.
I hope you enjoy surfing this website. I pledge to keep it as
current and up to date as possible. If I can assist you in selling
or buying a home or property or if you have questions about the
market or suggestions about this site, please contact me. Enjoy!
